On Sunday, March 28, of 2010, the celebrity women – including reality star, Sharon Osbourne, Olympic gold medal swimmer, Summer Sanders and singer/actress, Cyndi Lauper will compete with the celebrity men including rocker Bret Michaels, former Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, and baseball star Darryl Strawberry in a contest which will require a lot more brains than beauty or brawn. “Having been a part of the display last season, we are extremely excited to be welcomed back and given the opportunity to showcase this innovative new item providing,” mentioned LifeLock Chairman and CEO Todd Davis. “The episode is the perfect outlet to demonstrate to viewers how to help protect their good name.”

Buyers that have downloaded peer-to-peer file sharing networks onto their computers are at risk for identification theft if they keep tax documents on the exact same computers. Examples of peer-to-peer file sharing networks include popular programs such as LimeWire, BearShare and KaZaa. LifeLock may be the only identity theft protection agency offering buyers with a front line of defense against peer-to-peer identity theft. In addition

Fraud alerts only go so far. They are limited to only alerting you to thefts where a credit score check is required. That’s why LifeLock has upgraded all of their members to the enhanced LifeLock Identification Alert system. Their advanced LifeLock Identification Alert system monitors numerous types of each credit and service account applications for the misuse of your info. Here’s how it works: anytime they find individual pieces of your identification in applications for credit cards, wireless services, retail credit, utilities, check reorders, mortgage financial loans, car loans, and payday loans they alert you by e-mail, postal mail and in some cases, by phone.
Question by Mr Joshua: Why do people insist upon using credit/debit cards for small, daily purchases?
I’ve noticed a huge trend lately of people using credit/debit cards for virtually every transaction they make, no matter how small. I work in a retail store and people will use them for – purchases, which is asinine. Don’t people realize that all they’re doing is unwittingly furthering the goal of a cashless society and making banks even more money? Of course, there are times when the usage of a card is warranted, such as items bought remotely (mail/internet/phone sales) and larger purchases that you want the CC company’s protection for or for something that you don’t immediately have the cash on hand. Cards were never really intended for daily, intensive usage; this is part of the reason why there is so much fraud and identity theft. People also frequently live beyond their means with cards, which is another pitfall. I will stick to CASH, personally-no one makes/charges a transaction fee, and companies do not get personal info about me and my buying habits!

Best answer:

Answer by jade_frost82
Ok, 2$ and using a CREDIT card I can see being a little outrageos, but I use my DEBIT card for everything. Including 2$ coffee purchases. My bank does not charge anything and its actually safer than cash because if it gets stolen, I don’t lose anything, and I am not responsible for any unauthorized transactions. I would much rather use my debit card. Debit cards are meant to be used on a daily basis, I think they make life easier, no more counting change, no more worrying about whether you have the right amount of cash, or when the bank is going to be open to get more. Just swipe the card and go.

Best answer:

Answer by Jade
Your best bet is to avoid the big-wigs (visa, mastercard etc). Start with a department store ( Sears, Wal-Mart, Future Shop) – they tend to give out cards a little easier and it will give you a chance to re-establish your name.

You can also do the Visa MC etc that lets you pay upfront and then use the card that is loaded. Again it is just to re establish your credit.

Good luck

Now it isn’t going to be all about volleyball, it can be about any sport where the coach can do something that makes you angry! Basically any sports that are important(i’m not saying golf and frisbee aren’t important, but I need some interesnting sports that people relate to)and where people can be subbed in and out. Email me at hypergurl174@gmail.com and leave your name, email, and your story. If you want real names to be used then tell me, If you want fake names to be used to protect your identity(but since your mad at your coach I’d just give her real name hehe!)then just tell me.K? Thanks for your time! Oh and tell me what you think of the idea of the book! And if your going to send me your story or stories then can ya leave an answer and tell me? Thanx! =D

How does a bank get their money back if someone uses another person’s identity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of purchases.

Do you think the stores the purchases were made from are simply going to give the money back to the bank (credit card company) ?
